REGISTER FOR THE “DO NOT KNOCK” LIST
An application form to register Borough addresses as a “Do Not Knock” location
has been placed on the Borough’s website, www.watchungnj.com and is also
available on request to the Borough Clerk’s office at 908-756-0080.
Your completed application will place your property on a list that will
be provided to any licensee who is issued a license to conduct door to door
sales of any type, pursuant to Article VI, Section 6-10.2 of the Code of the
Borough of Watchung. Upon
registration, it will be unlawful for any peddler, panhandler or solicitor to
approach and/or seek personal contact with the occupants there if that resident
is registered on the “Do No Knock” list.
A
plastic 5"x7" placard designating your property as a “No Knock” location will be
available
at cost upon request from the Borough Clerk’s office.
